Technical Communications Program

Drop-In Tutorial Service

Engineering students who wish to improve their writing on a non-credit basis can arrange to meet with tutors who will help them draft or revise reports or papers or dissertations, concentrating not on content but on organization, style, mechanics. Or students can meet with speech tutors who will help them plan presentations, design visual aids, or rehearse. (Students preparing for PhD orals or for presentations at technical conferences often take advantage of this service.) Drop-in tutorial aid is given free of charge, for no academic credit. Students need only their professor's permission to receive help.
