Charles Litton, AB '24 (ME), ENG '25 (EE), is a radio amateur and learns to blow glass vacuum tubes while on campus. He starts his own business in 1932 and invents a tool to mass-produce glass radio transmitting tubes. The business becomes Litton Industries, one of the largest early electronics companies.
