Benjamin Van Roy is broadly interested in the formulation and analysis of mathematical models that address problems in information technology, business, and public policy. He is an
Associate Professor of Management Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and, by courtesy, Computer Science, at Stanford University. He has held visiting positions as the Wolfgang and Helga Gaul Visiting Professor at the University of Karlsruhe and as the Chin Sophonpanich Foundation Professor of Banking and Finance at Chulalongkorn University. He has been involved with several technology companies as a researcher, advisor, founder, or director.
