Research Statement

Ishii's research develops methods and tools to improve the life-cycle quality of products. He applies optimization and other modeling techniques to support design and manufacturing decisions in product development. Recent research topics include robust design for manufacture, serviceability and reliability design, modular design for variety and supply chain, and design for environment.
