| Accreditation Requirements |
| An accredited program of study is usually the first step toward a professional engineering license, and is sometimes required for graduate-level study as well. Stanford's chemical, civil, electrical, industrial, and mechanical engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by the EAC. Because accreditation is based, in part, on student records, all students in these five programs must meet all accreditation requirements to graduate.
