The CEM program focuses on developing the business cases and skills to integrate, manage and innovate construction projects globally and sustainably to maximize product value.

Our innovative approaches include broadening the definition of projects to include many project stakeholders not traditionally considered in construction projects. As well, we take a "cradle-to-cradle" view of projects encompassing the entire life-cycle: definition, design, fabrication, construction, operation and demolition.

Through our research, we have developed novel, breakthrough technologies and methods that integrate the products, organizations and stakeholders, and processes of construction.

These new methods and technologies hold the promise of both a sustainable use of energy and other natural resources as well as producing greater overall value for owners, operators and consumers of modern construction.
